IPL 2021 will begin on April 9 in Chennai. The tournament was held in the UAE in 2020, but its 14th edition this season will be played over six Indian venues. “The home IPL will begin playing behind closed doors this past year, and spectators will be requested to allow the next stage of the tournament,” India Cricket Board secretary J Shah said in a statement.
The defending champions and the most successful franchise of the tournament, the Mumbai Indians, will be involved in the Indian Premier League 2021 screen-riser on April 9 when they take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai.
This will be the first of a five-match MI series in Chennai, where teams will perform with their league-stage fixtures at a neutral venue. By Chennai, where they can play potentially slow and low wickets, it might be precisely the same for their next four matches from Delhi. The team will play three games in Bangalore and the other two in Kolkata.
Mumbai Indians Roster 2021
The Mumbai Indians (MI) team has been entirely consistent since its debut in the DLF IPL 2008. MI has reached the IPL play-offs a total of seven times in the last 13 IPL seasons. In the last IPL 2020 final, MI beat Shreyas Iyer’s DC and became the champion. The Mumbai Indians on Thursday entered an auction of Indian Premier League players to fill seven spots, including foreign slots. They took an available salary cap of Rs 14.90 crore and made a huge fuss with the players they bought.
The team led by Rohit Sharma bought spinner Piyush Chawla. The one who has signed a vast ₹ 24 million deal has come out in their favor. Piyush Chawla was part of the 2011 World Cup-winning team.
The Rohit Sharma-led side has dropped all-rounder James Neesham (5 million) and pacer Adam Milne (₹ 3.20 crore).
South African fast bowler Marco Jensen and India’s all-rounders Arjun Tendulkar and Yudhvir Charak also opted for the franchise, which picked up a record fifth title in 2020, 5 million each.
In the 2020 edition of the Dream 11 IPL, the MI team finished first in the tournament in the qualifying round. However, MI will be looking forward to winning their sixth IPL title in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. See Mumbai Indians (MI) Roster 2021 in the table below.

Every team in the IPL is seen active on social media sites. However, MI was found to be slightly more active than the rest of the groups. Moreover, fans of all the teams want to know the latest updates of their favorite team, so they always keep an eye on the social media sites of the IPL team. They know what their favorite team is doing now and where they will go next time.
Each group has a separate manager to manage the Twitter site. Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, and Hardik Pandya are the most active social media sites among Mumbai Indians cricketers.
